| Our policy on nude photography:
We recognize that photographic representations of
the nude human form can contain much beauty and can help
others to better understand and appreciate the human
body. Additionally, we understand that nude
photography is respected and recognized by many as a legitimate art form. However, we have chosen not to accept
submissions that contain nudity (i.e. that wouldn't be
allowed on broadcast television) to the Photo of the Week
section because the line between artistic nudes and erotic
art or pornography is extremely difficult to define.
Furthermore, that definition varies dramatically from one
person to the next.
Therefore, since Arborwood.com is used by people of
many backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, we have chosen to
avoid the possibility of the Photo of the Week section
turning into a battleground of controversy between people
and groups of differing opinions on this issue.
Instead, we hope to focus on the talents of the many
photographers who post to Arborwood.com and the beauty and
educational value of their diverse subjects. Thank
